How we work with
Parents
Every child deserves to take part in the activities they love — at home, at school, and in the community. Occupational therapy helps children who have had a brain injury build skills, gain confidence, and join in with everyday life in ways that work for them.
Passionate about Participation
Here are some examples of what our occupational therapists can support:
Play and leisure
Taking part in sports, games, or activities simply for fun and enjoyment.
Self-care skills
Getting dressed, using the toilet, feeding themselves, or brushing their teeth.
School-related tasks
Handwriting, typing, using scissors, organising schoolwork, or sitting comfortably on the carpet in class.
Our Services
We’re here to support Parents
We offer tailored occupational therapy services designed to understand your child, build their confidence and independence, and provide practical support that fits seamlessly into family life.
-
We take the time to really get to know your child — their personality, their strengths, and the things they find tricky. Our occupational therapists use play-based and practical activities to understand how your child manages everyday tasks and what supports will help them thrive after a brain injury.
-
Every child is different, so we design therapy that fits their unique needs. Our occupational therapists use the latest research and their clinical experience to create fun, meaningful, and goal-focused sessions that help your child build confidence and independence.
-
Children learn best through repetition and familiar routines. That’s why we create simple, practical home programmes that parents, teachers, and carers can use every day — helping your child make progress where it matters most.
-
We provide easy-to-understand, detailed reports that outline your child’s goals, progress, and next steps. When needed, our therapists can also prepare professional reports for medico-legal or case management purposes.
Why Work With Us?
Your Child is in Safe Hands.
Our team of occupational therapists are fully qualified and registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.
Specialist Knowledge You Can Trust
Our occupational therapists have in-depth experience in brain injury rehabilitation and child development. This means your child will receive evidence-based, tailored support designed to help them reach their full potential.
Care Delivered in the Places that Matter
Because we’re based entirely in the community, we see children in the places that matter most — at home, in school, or out and about. This means we can help your child practise real-life activities, like handwriting in class or getting dressed after swimming.
Working Together with Families
We believe parents know their children best. That’s why we take time to listen, understand your concerns, and set goals together that fit your family’s values, routines, and priorities. Our therapy programmes are designed to support your child’s progress in ways that feel realistic and meaningful for you at home and in the community.
Learning
Through Play
Children learn best when they’re having fun! Our assessments are play-based, allowing us to understand your child’s physical, thinking, and social skills in a relaxed and natural way. We also look carefully at what motivates your child, because enjoyment is key to success.
We also work closely with NHS teams, schools, and other independent therapists to make sure
everyone involved in your child’s care is working together towards the same goals.
