Our Values

We’re all about enabling children to participate joyfully in everyday life!

Strengths-focused

We recognise that all children and young people have unique strengths. By focusing on these, we work in partnership, supporting them to develop a belief in their ability to engage in everyday activities (self-efficacy).

Evidence-based

We combine our clinical expertise with the best available evidence to ensure that all assessments and interventions are underpinned by research that demonstrates their effectiveness, ensuring the best outcomes for our children and young people.

Family-Centred

We engage, empower and partner with families to create a supportive environment for children and young people to thrive. Providing families with the tools to practice outside of face-to-face therapy sessions optimises progress towards goals.

Responsive

We understand that there are often many professionals involved in your child’s care. We seamlessly communicate with other Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) members, including NHS services, to optimise our intervention and co-ordinate our approach.

Passionate about Participation

We recognise that the primary occupation of children and young people is play! Through play, we support children and young people to learn skills and strategies to enable them to participate in a variety of activities in the community.

What Is Occupational Therapy?

Children’s occupational therapists help children learn, play and socialise in their home, school and wider community.

The term ‘occupation’ refers to anything that a child needs or wants to do. This includes self-care tasks, play,  schoolwork or participating in leisure activities.

Our team of expert occupational therapists work with children and their families to overcome challenges, identify their strengths and participate joyfully in everyday life.

  • We focus on what really matters to the children and families we work with, taking time to understand each child’s communication needs, daily routines and interests. By identifying what really motivates them, we carefully curate fun rehabilitation programmes that accurately target skill development.

  • We meet children in the places they need to practice their skills. This could mean practicing dressing skills before a swimming lesson at the local leisure centre, learning to access the supermarket in a powered wheelchair or taking the bus independently to school. The places our occupational therapists work is really limitless!

Our Support

So How Can We Help?

We cover Surrey, Sussex, Greater London.

  • We provide expert assessment for children and young people who have experienced a brain injury. Our occupational therapists use a variety of assessments to gather information on the child’s strengths and needs.

  • Our occupational therapists combine their clinical expertise with the best research evidence to create the most effective, goal-orientated rehabilitation programme for each child.

  • We know that for children to learn, they need repetition. Our occupational therapists create unique programmes that can be easily delivered by parents, teachers and carers daily.

  • Our comprehensive and concise reports are bespoke to the therapy focus of each child. Our occupational therapists are experienced in writing reports for medico-legal cases.
